I cannot ask for “more” of anything. This is true.
I cannot ask for:
– more protection
– more financial provision
– more peace in my home
– more friends
– more health
– more love from my children
– more food
– more rest
– more talents and treasures
– more Mom
– more time to be “here”
I could go on… Gratitude and thankfulness make accepting reality possible.
I am so, so happy to be:
– powerless
– God-dependent
– lost without others
– flawed
– uncertain and distrustful of ego
– a woman of faith
– openhearted to guidance
– accepting of my past
– helping others
– Mom’s chief, cook and bottle washer
– Sienna’s ‘g-mom’
– Red’s and Rose’s daughter
– Casey-Lee, Anthony & Francesco’s mom
– Scared … yet seeking courage
– 65 years of age
“If you think we’re gonna make it, you better hang on to yourself.”
